We are located on Mitchel Park Reserve, corner of Bradley Grove, Waterman Terrace and Celtic Ave in Mitchel Park.
In 2016 we moved our track location to the north east corner of Mitchell Park Reserve. The move gave us more room to grow.
We now have a large rostrum, a fenced off track with no trees, and on race days we now have power and water.
Our current layout is shown right. It is more technical and challenging than before and features the new water fall jump.
Parking close on Race day is at a premium. The best way to access the track is via Waterman Terrace.
For larger events there will be a dedicated drop off zone setup.
The Track Stats
After a few years of negotiations with the council, lead by Matt Grimmond and other members of the committee, they managed to get permission to relocate to an open area in the park, so we could race without the trees in the middle of the track. With the help of the members we managed to build, in short time, a track that was considered amongst the best in Australia. The new facilities gave ARCR a new outlook on what we could manage, and within the year we held South Australia's first state title. Since that time in 2018 we had the privilege of running our first National titles.
We don't recommend running more than 2 classes, as Marshalling and pit work tends to get pretty manic. Drivers will drive their race and then marshal the following race.
We have a sausage sizzle at lunch and drinks and chocolates all day.
If a Points round is cancelled due to weather, the scheduled round will be dropped from the points series, and does NOT count towards a drivers championship.
A race day may be cancelled by the Track Manager by 7pm on the Friday night before a race day. Race day cancellations are mainly due to weather, so if it has been raining and the track is wet & unsafe, or if it is forecast to be at or above 37'C. ARCR only uses forecasts from the BOM (Bureau of Meteorology) goverment website. (link below)
BOM Adelaide forecast this is updated in the morning and at 5pm each day.
Classes we will be running this year are:
